Wasabi Mash

Ingredients :

  1. Carrefour brand Instant Mashed Potato (prepare according to instructions but with extra butter)
  2. A dab of Wasabi (in tube)
  3. Cracked Black Pepper

Method:

This is an easy yet impressive side dish. Just follow the preparation directions for instant mashed potato, stirring in a dab of wasabi (make it a tiny amount as it's very stong).  If you're not concerned about calories, add a little extra butter. Top with cracked pepper. Either serve on the side of any meat, poultry or seafood, or slice a good Carrefour steak (striploin, tenderloin or ribeye) and place the steak slices on top of  a mound of wasabi mashed potato.

This is a clever idea as you find this kind of 'trendy mash' at a lot of expensive restaurants. I think this is great! I will definitely try, as I love the Carrefour instant potato - doesn't taste artificial in any way.
