Little Pleasures

Urban Life - 16 August 2007

Like pomegranates, with their hundreds of seeds, Champagne Grapes are best eaten when you have a few hours to spare.

Not that they make for tedious eating. In fact, it’s quite relaxing picking at these tiny grapes, named after the champagne bubbles they resemble.

They’re mostly sweet, although you might encounter the occasional lip-puckering one.

These grapes, which are from the United States, are the perfect snack for a movie marathon or a lazy afternoon leafing through magazines.

Champagne Grapes, $4.75 a punnet, from Carrefour supermarkets in Plaza Singapura and Suntec City.
